Some of you out there may already be headlong into gardening season.  Some of you may have already spray washed your home.  And some of you may have given your car a squeaky clean detailing.  What do these things have in common? A garden hose!

Here are some handy tips for all your garden hose needs:

• Use a cart: Hauling around a large hose can hurt your back.  If covering a big distance, consider using a wheeled cart.
• Avoid pressure surges: make any changes in water pressure gradual to avoid damaging the hose
• Watch out for baby plants! Fragile, tender, and newly sprouted plants can be damaged by dragging a hose over them.  Be careful!
• Store hoses properly: Protect them from the elements, too much sun, and pests/rodents.  Ideally, you'll want to keep it in a cool, dark place that's off the ground.
